Weaver Unlimited

Play as many four-letter word ladders as you like. Every puzzle has its own link, so you can challenge a friend with the same one.

Word ladders without the wait

The daily puzzle is a shared challenge: one ladder, the same for everyone, once a day. Weaver Unlimited is the practice room. You get a four-letter puzzle, solve it at your own pace, and start another one as soon as you like. There is no countdown and no streak to protect, so it is the best place to try a risky idea, test a strategy from the tips page or just play a few rounds on a train ride.

Your current puzzle stays on the board until you finish it. Close the tab, come back tomorrow, and the ladder is still where you left it. When you want a different puzzle, press New game. If the current puzzle is not solved yet, that counts as a loss in your Unlimited statistics, so it is worth one more look before you skip.

Send a friend the same puzzle

Every Unlimited puzzle has its own number and its own link. Share your result and the link opens exactly the same start and end words for whoever taps it, which makes it easy to compare ladders with a friend or settle who found the shorter route. Unlimited keeps separate statistics from the daily game: games played, won and lost, your win rate and how many puzzles you solved in the optimal number of moves.

Prefer longer words? Switch to Unlimited five letters. Want the shared daily challenge instead? Today's puzzle is on the daily page.

Weaver Unlimited: questions

Are Unlimited puzzles the same as the daily puzzles?

No. Unlimited uses its own collection of puzzles, separate from the daily ones, so practicing in Unlimited never spoils a daily puzzle you have not played yet.

Does starting a new game count as a loss?

Yes, if the current puzzle is not solved. Pressing New game before you reach the end word is recorded as a lost game in your Unlimited statistics. After a win, New game simply gives you the next puzzle.

How do I play a puzzle a friend sent me?

Open the link they shared. It loads that exact puzzle on this page, and your result is saved to your own Unlimited statistics on your device.
